Spec for tightening the drain plugs is 37 lb-ft.

So i recently attempted to change my oil out. Tried starting out with the lower drain plug, but looks like it's been way overtorqued from the last time someone changed it, so when i tried a 8 mm hex bolt, looks like it is stripping the allen heads.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this out? Am i going to have to drill through the drain plug?

You can try lightly hammering a 1-size-up torx or triplesquare into the hole.

Note: Be careful if you do this as you can f-up the pan threads = replace pan too.

^Usually a Torx works for me if the hex has been mangled. Be sure to get new drain plugs.
