Just bought a used Cayenne.... about to get LTC'd?
Hey Y'all....
I just bought my first Porsche. It's an '04 Cayenne S with 100k on it. Seems to have been very well maintained. I have receipts for a lot of work, including the driveshafts, water-coolant pipes and rear-hatch struts.
The car is very tight. I'm impressed with the build-quality, and I hope I continue to be as I get to know the car a bit better.
I've tooled-around the forum just a bit, to get a feel for this place.... looks like I'll enjoy it.
Go easy on me about the "buying a used Cayenne out of warranty" thing, will ya?
I'm a tinkerer, so I'm sure I'll be diving into some things right away. I kn ow this forum will be very useful for that. I'll try to contribute as much as I can.
Anybody else here in the Greater Salt Lake City area?

My 2004 CS has ~127K on the clock. It's still running strong. They are solid vehicles once you deal with the known issues.

Yes, a Certified Preowned Warranty
Naked P!g owners usually start each sentence with his or his father's name ...
BTW, praying is NOT an acceptable substitute for P!g warranty coverage.
He'll is littered with the charred souls of naked P!g owners ... Larry told me

Once you cross over the 100K mile barrier, nakedness just feels right. No worries, no regrets. In fact, thought of buying a new P!g... maybe I've let it get to me...

Enjoy naked driving?
Buy a Hybrid.
If you live in a "Green State", PCNA will be required to extend the warranty on the battery and charging components from 10yrs to 15years.

If I buy another, it will probably be a diesel. It's my wife's DD, so she's involved in the decision and she likes "boxy" vehicles like Range Rovers. Not sure where we'll end up yet...

We'll see. BTW - we'll be keeping the 2004 CS as my airport beater/dog hauler. It's worth more to me than I'll ever get selling or trading it. I'm thinking of putting some big off-road tires on it for trips into the high country. Once she has her new vehicle, I no longer need the Cayenne to be "civilized".
