Cobalt thx for your help though
Sorry to hear that.

Nelson has always been very busy but diligent about getting back to people. I am surprised and disappointed.

Unfortunately he is one of the best around and I hate to see him screw up like this.

Sorry it didn't work out for you

Hey Cobalt, I spoke with him yesterday and it seems like there is a conflict of interest here. It turns out Nelson is the guy that does the clear bras at my P dealer. Seems like he will be doing the job on the cayenne but through the dealer.
Like you said, he is a very busy man and one man show. He's highly recommended by the dealer so I'm def having him do it.

Thanks again

Well at least you will have a perfect job. Not sure if Paul G is the manager at the dealership would hate to take business away from him. Hard having friends on both sides.

Good Luck

The clear bra is to help against rock chips from damaging your paint. You can apply wax/sealant on top of the clear bra.

I had mine done when new. I covered partial hood and the complete nose and front bumper which has saved me from several rock chips. I also had the A pillars and complete sides done about 60% up the door and behind the handles. This has actually been more valuable than the rest of the car. Having the doors done has saved me from potentially serious damage several times. The worst left a dent the size of a quarter. I had a paintless dent guy remove the dent without the clear bra the paint would have been damaged. Instead it was a simple buff out of the clear bra and I cannot tell where the damage occurred. I have not needed it anywhere else so far.

You will need to wax any clear bra twice as often as your paint. Keeping a fresh coat of wax on it will keep it looking fresh and shinny if you go too long without waxing it it will begin to look dull if the car sits in the sun a lot.

I just had the entire front bumper, fenders, hood, side mirrors and rear bumper done with Xpel film. $995 for a repeat customer, normally $1,200. Local Richmond, VA installer came to my house and applied the film while working in my garage. Excellent job.

Looking to getting my 14 Cayman done by the dealer they was asking for $2800.00 I think that's a little to steep.
Any thoughts where I can get it done.

Give nelson a shot.

he is the best in the area. Probably the same person teh dealership will contract and add a huge markup on.

HOiYA

I just realized I picked up a GTS looks identical to your CTTS rims and all.
