So should I leave it at the dealer or go pick it up ?? does it help to leave it there. There been some bad weather here lately and would have liked to be driving it instead of my other car

That's a tough one as getting it back to them may be a challenge depending on how far it's gone through the dealer and PCNA. If it were me, my thoughts would be:

The issue is already logged, so from that stand point I wouldn't see an issue with taking it now and trying again later. Make sure when you pick it up that the reason you brought it in as well as the reason they are refusing to warranty it are clearly documented on paper work. Don't accept it back otherwise as that will just cause you more trouble in the future. It might also be worth while to take some pictures of it (ideally with the service advisor in the picture) so that it can't later be claimed that it's not what you originally reported.

It would also probably be worth your while to take it to a good body shop and have them look at it and give their opinion on what's going on. Having another professional opinion on both the issue itself as well as their reason for rejection could prove useful when/if you take it up with the dealer again in the future. In an ideal world you'd what to find a shop that specializes in Porsche body work/paint.

Since I gather you are not in an area with lots of high end car places, it might be worth while to find someone near the dealer and go straight from the dealer to the body shop while you are already out this way. I'd be happy to give you the info for my guy in Sterling, but while I'd trust anything he says, he is actually a Jag/LR specialist (though he does all our cars). PM me if you want his info anyway.

As far as not having it this winter, I feel your pain. Chris has had mine for 3 months now getting it repainted The looks I've gotten driving the 911 in the snow and ice have almost been worth it though

Haha! I hear you I got pictures of it there as I dropped it off and all the doors and body panels even the ones that are on question. I work at another dealer so I know how some places or techs are. I have my own body shop and tuner shop on the side I have redone all kinds of Porsche from 77 930's to 951 so I could do it myself I should just not have to is all I never had this kinda treatment from Porsche before kinda crazy. But it is my poor little Jetta TDI that is getting all the snow driving......

I would have the dealer contact the PCNA regional service rep. I believe his name is Steve Riley and he can be very helpful with warranty issues. Force the dealer to do this and they may change their tune.

They got ahold of him from the beging they said things will be ok. Then when they said the needed the car back to send to body shop to hear how they will handle it. I had an appt they took pictures then said go and bring it back in to get a body shop estimate. After they denied it I asked about the amount it would be for the repairs .....they said they didnt have one . Do then I said is that why it was denied ??? You had told me that that was the finial step of getting the work underway. So I ask youall does it sound like they ducked this job in general. Waht is crazy is the S.M asked if I was interested in a job there I bet that is not an option now...

It has been two weeks today since I contacted Porsche about the dealership that has my Cayenne. I have been calling and leaving messages for the S.M. there and no response so today as im dialing Porsche because they told me to call the dealer and see what happened after I opened the case the S.M calls tell me I need to pick up my car cause it's in there way. I asked them did they do the work I have been trying to get in contact with you for two weeks. So now they say sorry we cant do anything and I need to know when you will pic up the car. Then I got transfered to parts for the price ob the door and the window channel
door 801.96$
Window channel 116.03 So after all these years owning 11 plus porsches tis is how I get treated for less the a grand of repairs.
What can I do at this point call Porsche back or call the G.M at the dealer and see where that goes.....
