So, are most of these DS bearing failures in CTTs, due to their very high torque? Or maybe I should ask - do the CTT shaft bearings fail sooner because of the extra high torque?

Are there other places to purchase other than Vertex?

pelican sells them also I have one on my cayenne it was there when i bought it. installed one on girlfriends cayenne. it was easy ti install and didnt take much time.

Cayenne Cardan shaft optional fix EPS Bearing Support
Be aware that the EPS bearing mount requires the new flex plate to be installed or they void the warranty. The flex plate needs to be installed first, before the bearing support is re-mounted to allow for enough rear movement of the carden shaft from the transfer case flange to allow R&R.
