Default Anybody have experience with Textar ePad ceramic brake pads?

I was planning to use regular Textar pads when I put new brake pads on my 2009 CS. I saw the ePad ceramics and could not find any reviews on them, on Rennlist or otherwise. Advertised as less dust/noise. Curious to see if anyone has used them, or knows someone who has, and if so to get their thoughts on them.

Thanks,

I believe I have these pads on my 05 CS. Noticed a nice improvement in stopping power and huge reduction in brake dust. With standard pads i was cleaning wheels every weekend. Now with ceramic pads the wheels look clean all the time.

They squeal a little until they get warmed up. Can't speak to wearability as I've had them on the car for just over a year and 17k miles.

Thanks David. Overall, given the time on them, do you prefer them over the regular pads? Would you buy again? Any other negatives besides some cold temperature squeal?

No experience, but they do appear to have the ECE R90 stamp, which is a European certification that the pad has passed testing to show it the equivilant of the OEM pad. Accordingly, they should provide the same performance as the stock pads.

I would definitely buy them again - they were expensive but my indy said they should have better longevity than the standard pad. can't offer any real data on performance, but my brakes have a good feel and plenty of stopping power. reduction in brake dust is a very nice plus!

Sounds good, I have them ordered. They weren't much more than the regular Textars, only about $20 more for all 4 corners.
