I am looking at a 2008 Turbo with 139,000 Km (86,000 miles). Went for a first look yesterday and the cayenne is very clean - leather looks like new . Body in very good condition, tires (21 inches) have a lot of tread remaining. Engine bay is very clean.

My questions :

1. is 86,00 miles considered as high mileage for a turbo?
2. Anything to look for ?

Check engine light is on ....

I am trying to get the maintenance record and I will do PPI but it will be nice to know what to look for.

Well 5 months ago I was in the same position! Mine is a 2008 CTT with 91000 miles.
-Check for rattles and cracks inside the cabin while test driving.
-Service records is a must and proof of any recalls done on the car. Mine had a few.
-While at PPI ask to remove the panels under the engine to inspect for leaks. (I had one which I thought it was something major, but turned out to be a cracked oil filter housing).
-Lower control arms are sensitive on such heavy cars at that mileage. If already done it's a +
-Check for boost leaks
-The check engine light might be nothing but it may turn out to be really $$$. The diagnostic tool will definetaly throw codes so the dealer will explain after the PPI.

Mine turned out to be an excellent car, even i spent a bit over €2000 for tyres, service and some cosmetic changes. But I had deducted them from the Asking Price.

Not high mileage and the 957s fair far better than the 955s. I've had 2 957s with virtually nothing go wrong with them.

I have a 2008 CTT purchased new in June 07 after 5 month order and receive. 126,000 miles and going very strong. Check coolant pipe manifold replacement, that is the only thing that was ever a critical failure.
Brakes come up for replacement pretty regularly depending on how you drive.
I plan to run for a few years so have replaced alt, fuel pumps, starter; I am not interested in getting stranded.
Very fun and versatile vehicle. Towed 6000# boat (maybe 7) over Cascades and Rockys, parks in condo or downtown parking space, pretty quick and responsive for a big car. Average 15 mpg over the life of the car.

08 turbos are pretty solid....it's an odd year for brakes...size is 368mm a 1 year deal i think. Most years are 350 or 380mm.
Some common replacement items are fuel pumps, starters, thermostat getting stuck open.
Pretty solid overall....many 100k+miles on this board

Yep. 80k miles on mine and narry a problem. Time for another new set of coil packs, however!
