Default iPhone/Apple Map question

In my '11 Cayenne I could start a destination direction in Maps before getting in the car and it would continue to give verbal directions even after connecting to bluetooth.

Now, in my new '15 Cayenne, the verbal directions stop once the phone connects to bluetooth. I'm guessing its a difference in the PCM version.

Is there a way to correct/enable verbal directions in the '15?? I'm using an iPhone 6 with IOS 9.

Thanks!

I have not used Maps but use WAZE on iPhone 6+ and have no issues, the directions keep on after the phone connects. Driving a 2015 Cayenne S

Thanks, seafarer. To clarify, my directions are reflected on the iPhone 6 screen, but the verbal instructions are off once bluetooth connects. Thanks again!

I wasn't very clear in my reply. The directions show on the iPhone and the voice connects via Bluetooth on PCM.
I have navigation on PCM so its quite good to follow directions from the phone and see the maps on the larger screen

In WAZE there is a setting which is: " Prefer Bluetooth".
Could not find anything like that for MAPS.
And the way WAZE works is it comes onto the PCM as a telephone call from your own phone once bluetooth connection is established

And IMHO WAZE is better app for directions than maps.
