Default Kessy question

Hi

My 955TT has keyless entry and will lock and unlock on the passenger side door handles but only unlock on the drivers side door handles.

If i replace the drivers side door handles with used ebay items will I need a dealer to code them to the car?

Thanks

RG

I suspect you might look under vehicle setup on your PCM. There is typically an option for unlocking - unlock just the drivers door first push of the remote - the rest the 2nd push OR unlock ALL doors first push of the button.

Changing the drivers side door handles will do absolutely nothing since that isn't where the unlocking logic is taking place.

Also a Durametric scan wouldn't hurt. I can Lock/Unlock on every door except the front passenger and that is the one that gives a fault code.

Thanks.

I have the "all doors unlock" set up on the system. It's just the car won't lock when I press the button in either of the drivers side door handles.

Its unlikely that both your hands have gone at the same time. I would look at repairing the KESSY module.

I would have thought that 2 handles at £50 each would be cheaper than repairing/replacing the kessy module at £???????

Or is there something I don't know about Porsche prices

Sure, but when you replace those 2 handles they will still not work

Look up KESSY issues, the unit probably needs to be solder with new parts, but I would investigate further.

Ah. OK. To be fair that makes sense.

Cheers
