Hot?
Haven't experienced this problem, but wanted to chip in my 2 cents on interior heat.
Back in 1987 I was working in Sacramento, CA. We had a day when it was 117 deg outside. I measured 133 deg in the shop, and an impressive 162 deg on the dash of my car parked in the sun. That was a DAMN hot day, but the point is, it can get really toasty inside the car in direct sun.

As a fellow veteran, let me say, THANK YOU for your service. I served in Sigonella in the summer doing ASW ops, the tarmac there could get toasty and we did throw some eggs to prove they would fry but I can only imagine some of the desert warfare temps. All who served there were or are STUDS!

Driver seat - not good - Pax fine
Well, the brackets at the bottom were both broken on the driver side and even with laying the seat back and allowing to dry for 12 hours.. the heat of summer is just too much with what I used
the velcro holds it's the glue to the metal and to the seat back.
So guess I will need to super-glue the brackets at the bottom to support some of the weight or at least for now the hanging force is too much in 100 degree temps and whatever it is inside the car.
Any other solutions? -- may want to trade so not sure the screw suggested is the best look. In keeping with current movie release....
Damn it Jim, I'm a small biz owner not a leather upholsterer!

My seatbacks haven't been off, so I really can't picture what you're dealing with as far as contours and clearances.
How about something like these? A pair each at the top and bottom screwed into the (inside) foam or maybe glued with some industrial adhesive. You'd put your seat backs on by lifting and sliding.
