You need to insert yourself in the pic (nice pic!) and then post it to the #1 thread in the forum which is an ADMIN thread at the top for cool pics of you and your PIG.

Great pic, minor quibble: I know it's state law and all, but I don't like the offset license plate. Isn't there a provision in Washington law to allow you to request a waiver if your car isn't built for a front plate?

There is such a waiver thats reviewed on a case by case basis. BUT since there are brackets that allow a front license plate to be installed, it needs to be installed. You wont get a waiver.

I'm also in Kirkland, WA, and have 2006 CS Titanium Edition. Upon purchase, it was recommended that I purchase the OEM plastic front plate mount which of course the dealer had for around $130.00. Later, noticing that the holes for the mount had never been drilled, I found an original one in the left side trunk cubby. This car had been originally sold by the same dealer and has resided in this area for all these years without a front plate. IMO, the offset holder using the tow hook mount looks much better.

I see. That's too bad.

I'm in Texas, which requires a front plate, but I just can't bring myself to drill holes.

Just play dumb. I keep the plate in the glove box in case I get pulled over. "Office there is no place to mount this thing". "This is the way I bought it". Worst case you get a fixit ticket.

You're probably safer residing in Gig Harbor. Here in the land of traffic cameras, Kirkland, and Pay to Go tolling, those newer special reflective plates are great revenue earners. I kept the temporary license taped inside the heavily tinted rear hatch window to the very last day. I had immunity for 6 weeks.

I purchased a tow hook license plate holder on eBay last evening. Thanks, mhollack.

Perhaps. Gig Harbor is pretty small town and cops have a lot of time on their hands to pass out tickets for B.S. stuff like this. As I understand it, that infraction here in Washington is a "tack on" to a primary offense. I don't know if you have done this but I count about 1 out of 10-20 vehicles without a front plate. That's a lot of tickets to write. For whatever reason, I seem to get pulled over an average of once every 2-3 years in the CTT. None of the cops have said a thing about the plate. Federal Way and Fircrest cops are not my friends.
