I'm going to be making our first long distance trip in our '06 CST. RT should be in the 4000 mile range. I'll let ya know how it goes. I'm replacing the serp belt and oil prior to going. As for cars of that age that I'd have no problem taking on long trips? My '07 Infiniti G35 sedan. Fairly comfortable and will make the trip no problem.

You said your gas mileage 'round town is only 7 - 8 mpg? I get around 13 or so in our city driving. I've seen 16.5 on a trip to Waco and back to San Antonio. Wonder why yours is so bad?

sounds like you had a nice ride! several years ago I bought a 2009 CTTS in Pasadena and drove it back to Colorado with my son, who had his learner's permit. We had an awesome ride together, the car was a total beast. Kept a pretty good pace as we were on summer performance tires and had to beat a winter storm into Colorado.

Spent a couple years in south Florida driving a Panamera TTS. Epic car, but not suitable for a move back to the mountains. Sold it last week and picked up a beautiful '14 CTT. Looking forward to driving it back to Colorado for good next week, weather (Hurricane Matthew) permitting.

Mostly short trips, I stay in sport mode, and I love to hear the exhaust in it's full glory as frequently as possible.... I don't mind the low MPG in town as the smile factor outweighs it 100%
