I wonder why both snorkels were removed. Interested mod to see the hand brake in the center console. Thanks for sharing!

Even the S, both 955 and 957 were offered as manual versions in the EU. Hard to find but not impossible.

I can dig out the pics for snorkels somewhere, I took many pics of engine compartment when I saw an actuall transsyberia a couple of years ago.

That's why I was surprised to see it was tiptronic, not 6speed manual. Even if the S was not commercially available with manual, it is the same engine as the GTS, which had the manual available. Were there specific transfer case reasons to run the automatic?

The left side air tubing crosses the top of the engine and enters on the right side of the firewall where it meets a smaller air tube from the right air filter. From the firewall it goes upwards and exits to the snorkel. The only problem with this is that you have to remove the snorkel every time you open the hood.

The Transsyberia rally light bar looks good.
We chose to mount our Aux lights to the front bush bar for both rally and driving off road. This eliminates glare off the hood and projects the light down and ahead where we need it.
Looked into getting a snorkel for our 958 diesel - two issues changed our mind. Getting a snorkel to work with the turbo is not easy especially resolving the pressure drop. Second reason is that our wading depth would not be improved as it is the electrical - electronics that are at the low point.

Is that for all the 958s or just the Diesel?

I was prepping our Diesel do not know about the other 958s. Our dealer was helping us get ready for some Rally and Overlanding trips which is where I got my information. I understand that the battery and electrics are in the same location on all 958s. As to getting the snorkel would think all turbo 958s -gas & diesel- would have issues related to proper air flow. Would expect normal aspirated engines to have fewer issues.
