Is this pad an airbag?
I want to mount my brake controller to this area, but don't know if it is an airbag.
The pad is above the driver's right knee. It is a pretty solid pad, not hollow.
I have it on right now with sticky backed Velcro, but want to put two short self-tapping screws in the bracket instead of the Velcro.
For me, this is the perfect spot to put the controller, but don't want to screw into an airbag.
Anybody know if this pad is an airbag? It has no markings on it.
Thanks.

Not sure if you intended to attach a pic showing the spot you're asking about? Or if I just can't see it for some reason?
That said, I screwed my mounting bracket for a brake controller right where you're describing (essentially, at your right knee cap). I didn't explode...
It's just a panel with some empty space behind it... great spot for your controller actually... out of the way enough, but easy to reach while driving if you need to adjust your brake boost.

Not sure about the 958, but all the airbags in my 955 have "Airbag" tags on them (well, on the interior panel where they are).
Pretty sure that's a "liability" thing so that anyone working on them can't say "I didn't know there was an airbag there!" if it fires into their face when they are working on something.
