Cayenne S noise from left front
Hi, I have a Cayenne S diesel, with the mighty 850 Nm V8 turbodiesel engine. I have marvelled over its durability for 120000 km now! But, last few weeks a transmission noise have started to develop. It began as a low volume high pitch sound around 80 mph, and then it developed a low speed noise that clearly is speed related.
I have removed the wheel and looked underneath, but cant find anything wrong with it. I can feel that there is a vibration at full throttle from low speed. Can that be related?
Is there any known transmission problems with these cars?
Any help would be very appreciated!
Regards,
Johan

Assuming your Diesel S uses the same transmission as we get here in the US - no - it's quite a reliable transmission actually. I'd be more suspicious of wheel bearings if it seems directly speed related - or a CV joint going bad (but those aren't known to fail - I can recall ever hearing of one failing..)
