Full Headlight Overhaul

I did mine a year ago, used the exact same bulbs. Other than the “check cornering light” alert no issues. That happens when I stop the car with the wheel turned enough to activate the cornering light (like a slow drive through) I’ve ignored the alert and sat in it while parked with no issues. Maybe that’s not smart.

If anyone cares about actual legitimate headlamp performance, none of the listed "upgrades" done in this thread are an improvement in vision......but they sure are pretty to look at.
Low beams: best of the bunch For D1S
High beams & cornering lights: H7 bulbs Exact replacement for the Osram 64217, which was discontinued several years ago. 65-watt, 2100-lumen Ultra High Output Vosla (H9 burner on H7 base, race and special-purpose)

Fog lamps: That's a pretty common mount pattern on those fog lamps. Porsche bought them from the originators of that mount (Valeo). The aftermarket knockoffs are severely inferior and not worth messing with, but would you be willing to pay more for vastly better, more effective, and _much_ more impact-resistant fog lamps? Take a look at https://www.subispeed.com/part/light...led-fog-lights . Note the mount pattern. These are selective-yellow LED fog lamps and they are _really_ good. Much brighter, broader output than the halogens, and they meet the updated F3 photometrics. They have a polycarbonate lens that will shrug off road missiles. As you can see they're pricy, but you get a lot for the money.

Thanks for the info on the fogs, they are on my list to replace as they are super pitted and the lens is hazed pretty good on the driver side.

I just replaced my low beams with the Cool Blue Intense NextGens this weekend. They appear to perform basically the same as the night breakers with a bit cooler color temp. Significant improvement over the 8 year old OEM bulbs. I also took the chance to clean my projector lens which probably helped too. https://bulbfacts.com/hid-oe/chart/#ONBL

I know this is slightly off topic, but can anyone else verify the condition of their xenon projectors?
In the interest of improving my dim candles, I pulled the headlights out to have a look. After further inspection I'm pretty sure the xenon projectors are burnt/melted.
The lenses are very cloudy, like there is a layer of film on the inside of them:
bixenon projectors are supposed to have clear lenses
It looks like something melted in the bulb holders. Bulbs still look fine.
I can't see inside the projectors to determine if the mirror coating is still there.

Has anyone sourced an OEM replacement lens? As the scratches accumulate over the years, it' would be nice to be able to replace the lens and not a 3k set of lights.

But in about 3 weeks time it happened again.....so ordered LaminX film took it back to him. He sanded and polished them again and fitted the lamiX film on them. Lets see how they hold up now.
