Have not received the vehicle yet.

Also, I'm still looking for a workshop manual for the 92A/958 Turbo. Since they aren't printed , hoping to find a downloaded copy, or someone that will be provide regular temporary access for 24-48 hours.

I'd suggest spending $20 and signing up for alldatadiy.com - they've condensed the 11,000 page service manual into something with an index and search function making it useable. No one I know of thats gotten it has regretted it (1 guy maybe who expected it to hold his hand..)

Everytime I want to make a DIY, I realize that I would just be copying what I'm reading on ALL DATA. It's such a great resource.

During my search for a manual, I found a number of posts suggestIby that Alldata was missing data that would be used in a rebuild. I know US mfgs are fully documented, but German may not.

Before I invest, can someone confirm the following indirect exists?
- procedure to remove/install engine (ie dripping it)
- torque info for heads, mains, cranks, cams, accessories
- test procedures for items like turbo, Westgate, evap valve, egr
- other specifications like bearing thickness, plastiguage or equivalent, crank measurements, part nos

I took a looked at my CS in AllDataDIY. 100% of the info I would need to rebuild is there, including Engine-Tranny R&R.

You have nothing to lose on a one year subscription: "ALLDATAdiy.com is committed to customer satisfaction. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may request a refund within ten days of your purchase."

Sounds like you're already cheapening out on the rebuid. Bill the subscription to the owner of the Cayenne as a cost. It's only $29. If you go halfway in and then don't purchase it, they usually send you an email offering you a additional $10 discount, but I'm assuming that your time is worth more than that. Go buy the subcscription.

Welp... this just happened. What's the consensus on the engine after such an event? Toast? Do I ditch it? 2013 CTT 131k miles.

@AO Ouch!

Looks like @sefiro may not have taken on that project. Ten posts almost three years ago, nothing since.

I think I'd put a new plenum on it and give it another go. What would it hurt.

not sure how much used plenums are, but I doubt they are cheap. If you have screwy cam timing, continuing to do this might result in some bent valves.
