Default New owner...and highest mile GTS?

I rolled the dice today and picked up a beautiful 2013 GTS from Monterey Porsche. The car was priced very low....as it has high miles. Normally, the mileage might scare me off, but the car has had one owner from new and has a rock solid service history with one Porsche garage for it's whole life, and was taken in frequently for routine maintenance.

Either way, this car has a whopping 163k miles, but it was the cheapest GTS in the country by a large margin. I really love the color combination also with the factory painted color-matched wheels.

I'll update this thread with more detailed photos and the condition/what it needs etc as I get into it.

Very nice ride!

We are in company as I recently acquired a higher mileage 2013 GTS as well with 121k on the clock. It would be interesting to share repair comparisons on post 100k sometime.

Thanks - I should get it next weekend at this point. I'll take detailed photos of it's condition, and report back on it's driving characteristics.

Very happy to see these machines getting higher and higher mileages. I purchased a 2011 Cayenne S with 85k miles in November of last year and rolled over 91k today. Car has been solid as could be and I have only changed the front brake pads and transfer case fluid. I also have the same SportEdition wheels but in black instead of paint to match. I think they look perfect on the Cayenne. The car feels so solid and well built, I don't plan on getting rid of it for the foreseeable future. it's just such a good car.

Enjoy and keep us posted. I have a long term hold plan on my 2011 so will be interested in what you experience. It would be helpful for the group if you could post the highlights of the maintence already performed (items replaced) or even the entire maint history as a PDF.

Same here. I got mine with 74,xxx and not much more now, but in all honesty, I'd be scared to get one with that much miles. My prior truck ford exploder literally had issues every few months after no issues first two months after purchase.

The only cars I've ever seen with really high miles were Lincoln Town Cars. I was friends with a guy who's dad worked in the limo business. Had over 500k on the town car and it still hauled *** until got into accident. The secret was that he changed oil and trans fluids much much earlier than what the maintenance called for.

Ha yeah, I have a cab/limo guy that uses them w/ the small 3-4 driver company he runs. Literally he'll throw on roughly 100k miles in a year on them out of the NW suburbs of Chicago here to O'hare (roughly 75-90 mile round trips). Same thing w/ him, he was ticked when someone rear ended him and totaled out the one car.

Nice color on that GTS.

If a Porsche Dealer is selling it, they looked it over even if not for CPO it was probably in good condition. I would be a lot more scared buying that at some third party so called luxury dealership than a Pcar dealer. I do plan to drop mine when it hits 200k, right now at 83k it might take a while.

Look forward to more reports such as this. Just bought a 2013 Cayenne Turbo with 180k kilometers on it and have every intention to roll 500k if possible. No doubt there will be some expensive repairs & maintenance, but the seller included a third party warranty, so we'll see if that helps at all (skeptical about those...)

There's probably limited rationale or common sense in my purchase but that's kind of the appeal in a way. Vehicle is in great condition and having a Canadian winter blast so far!

105K on a '14 Cayenne Diesel and 70K on a '15 Cayenne diesel. rock solid mechanically only issues have been small accessory electrical ones ... both still under warranty which is even better and they drive like new
