New update - another service at 130k miles
I'm here to update everyone on the '14 GTS -
Took it in for the annual service. I had noticed that it wasn't starting like it should be, seemed a little weak at times. Figured it needed a new battery since none of my records showed that the previous owner had the battery replaced, nor had I replaced the battery in my four years of ownership. I was also getting the PSM error code 2-3 times in the last 2 months. I didn't run my code reader since a quick google search said it could be a dying battery. Anyway, here is what was done and found during the service -
mileage: 130k
- oil change ($264)
- spark plugs (these were due to be changed)
- ignition coils (there was one bad ignition coil causing the PSM error code. I told them to put all new coils in, I figured if one went bad, the others would follow soon after) ($1200 for spark plugs and coils)
- replaced battery (they said from what they could tell it was the original battery, which would make it 10yrs old, it wasn't charging properly. If the battery was 10yrs old, that's pretty amazing for batteries and cars these days) ($565)
It was a rather expensive service at $2.4k (including state inspection ($90) and $130 total to diagnose the battery and error code), but all in all I would say typical normal wear and tear. I should be good for another 40k-60k miles before replacing spark plugs or coils again. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the air suspension, transmission, transfer case, and coolant tube don't give me problems anytime soon.
I'm still loving this GTS and hoping to get another 3-5 yrs out of it!

Nice updates. Seems like most gts and turbos have high miles with relatively nothing but maintenance.

I’m on original coils at 153k miles. No issues - I do follow the manual and get the plugs replaced every 40k. Car has been pretty much rock solid.
