'13 GTS - Multiple faults, no apparent issue
Hello to all,
I spent a little time searching last night on Google, and more time this morning looking on this forum and 6speedonline. Couldn't find any threads that seemed just like this one, so here we go...
Yesterday while driving down the interstate at about 75MPH, the instrument cluster lit up like a Christmas tree (all yellow icons/messages):
1/6 - "Fault Steering lock"
2/6 - "PSM failure"
3/6 - "ABS failure"
4/6 - "Chassis system fault"
5/6 - "Fault Electric parking brake"
6/6 - "All-wheel drive system fault"
My destination was less than 10 miles away, so without any obvious issue noted while driving, I continued to the destination. I parked the car, shut it off. When I restarted, no errors. Within about a half mile, the same 6 popped back up. While driving normally, all but the "All-wheel drive system fault" yellow icon disappeared. Then, the other 5 re-alerted. This has happened three times (going from 6 messages to just the AWD message).
All of this is not giving any notable driving difference/behavior.
A few hours later, we started the car again and it almost immediately displayed a new one, this one red:
"Warning Brake force distribution"
With this red warning light on, we switched vehicles and the GTS has been parked since.
Any simple thoughts to get me started here?

You need to pull the codes somehow, that’ll tell you what’s going on.
I have had a similar thing happen in the past and it could be a number of things: the brake pedal sensor, clutch pedal sensor (not applicable) or a wheel speed sensor. Getting the codes is a must with this.

That entire readout is pretty useless until you've determined if your battery is up to snuff. It's my guess your battery is low voltage. ALL those sort of error codes can be caused by this, and usually when someone shows up with a salad bowl of fault messages - it's the battery.
Get back to us after you've had a load test done on the battery. And I have no knowledge using a "Carista 502199" on a Cayenne, and have never heard it discussed being used on a Cayenne, so a lot of the stuff reported (like no convertible top ECU) are simply noise.

I had exactly the same faults.
Was two faulty speed / abs wheel sensors, cost £40 ea to replace, after purchasing a diagnostic tool and the special tool for removing rear brake caliper.
Guess speed signal used in all above.
Was an easy job to do
With Diagnostic tool
Cleared all faults, then only one general fault returned immediately
Then monitored the ABS ECU (PSM) only
Drove the car 50 meters 4 times
Monitored each speed sensor individually
Replaced failed sensors.

Porsche Cayenne diesel 2012
Was two faulty speed / abs wheel sensors, cost £40 ea to replace, after purchasing a diagnostic tool and the special tool for removing rear brake caliper.
Guess speed signal used in all above.
Was an easy job to do
With Diagnostic tool
Cleared all faults, then only one general fault returned immediately
Then monitored the ABS ECU (PSM) only
Drove the car 50 meters 4 times
Monitored each speed sensor individually
Replaced failed sensors.
But please note: Do not try testing the sensors with a multi-meter as shown on YouTube.!
