I'm pretty sure that is part of a subscription service for maps since those limits could change over time and would become useless (like the current maps in my '13).
I guess it's also possible it's a carry-over from a Carplay app, but I doubt we'd get a cool free feature like that.

That speed limit sign symbol just started popping randomly on me, I believe, after almost 2 years of ownership. Never noticed it before a week ago. I have the fuel tank range set to display there but occasionally now, the speed limit sign pops up. Did I accidentally change something?

its just telling you that you are driving too fast!
It's not a fault light by the way. if it appears a few seconds after stopping with the engine running.
It is simply a notification that the start-stop system was chosen to not stop *this* time. It is a pity that it doesn't give the reason (which could be engine not up to temp, battery load too high, things like that). My car has often gone into stop mode with two seat heaters running after ~10 min of driving. I can never really predict when it will shut down and when it'll stay at idle.
If you never get an engine stop then you may have an issue worth looking at.
I think that this symbol also is present when the start-stop button is selected to disable the feature, and that in sport mode the feature is disabled but not notified as such.

It's your descend control. It holds the speed of the Cayenne when descending steep (offroad) hills. The button is usually near the "Sport" button. It only shows when you turn the descend on.

thank you. I think I pressed it accidently while I was trying to turn on defroster. I looked carefully control buttons this descend control is right on top of defroster.
