Default Just bought a 15' Diesel with PCCB?

I owned a '14 Diesel, had sold it a few years ago and decided to get another one. Fortunate to find this one. Well documented service history and overall in great condition. Bonus was that I noticed it had yellow calipers, which surprised me to see on a diesel. Looking at the window sticker, it notes std black brakes and there is nothing in the options list about PCCB? It was purchased, returned to a P dealership for 18 months during diesel gate, then sold. That owner said they were on it when he bought from the dealership in 2018. The rotors are steel, but I can't believe they would have been swapped out by the dealership in 2018 before selling it? Anyone else have this type of situation?

Is it possible that someone painted the calipers? I recently painted ours yellow because the factory finish was boring. One G2 paint kit, some "Porsche" stickers, and about 4 hours of time is all it took.

My '14 CD had them painted yellow by the PO.

It had to have been painted, the big $$ item with CCBs are the rotors... why would you swap them out for steel rotors?

Trying to find out thru my dealer, if he can contact the PO about that. Has to be that, as no other option makes sense.

The PCCB dust shields would not even fit with 18" wheels, let alone the rotor and caliper!

I think it is safe to say there was not one single Cayenne Diesel made with the PCCB brake option. I can't imagine anyone would buy a base model, then decide to spring for the most expensive option on the books. Most turbos don't even have that option!

Those are the base brakes that have been painted yellow.

There is a member on here that has/had 2 CD’s and one was the PCCB option. They are very rare, but they exist.

Interesting... I'd have to see the VIN to believe it!

I would disagree, my ‘15 Cayenne diesel has PCCBs as I ordered the car with them. Better braking, no brake dust and15 lbs reduced unsprung weight at each corner. It handles so much better and improved braking while towing. We have 88k happy and trouble free miles on the truck and it is a keeper
