Driver side rear door unlocked when Cayenne is locked
This started off with the door not opening from outside. Then it progressed to making that locking click even when we are driving. Now you can open the door even when the car is locked. Sets off the alarm.
Anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas for a fix?

On my 2011 diesel the back right door doesn't unlock other than by pulling the inside handle although it always locks when it should, the problem started intermittently. Having searched around the internet it seems that back right doors seem most commonly affected. I get the impression that the rear door locks aren't very reliable. I can buy a replacement from Ebay for under £60 but haven't built up enough enthusiasm to tackle the job yet.

I had the same issue about 2 years ago. The electronic latch / lock in side the door malfunctioned. I tried to fix it, but eventually had to buy a new lock mechanism. Wasn't too hard to replace however.

The question is why is it ALWAYS the driver's rear door? Like literally, has anyone had this problem on any other door?

I can get mine to work if I sequence the manual locking mechanism behind the rubber grommet and the child lock mechanism, I haven't really outlined a process but I use a flathead screwdriver to turn the locks and use the key fob until the alarm chirp comes back. It works for awhile but eventually I have to do it again.

Door Latch Assembly. Door Lock Actuator Motor. Lock. LOCK ACTUATOR. Part Number: 9A783911601 Supersession(s): 8K0839016A; 9A7-839-116-01
Also, Alldata gives me 1.3 hours to replace the actuator but I can't seem to find the procedure! Any hints on replacement? Thanks.

I can get you a DIY. Have to put it together. When does your lock arrive?
If you have yet to order your lock, order a handful of these white circle carrier retainer clips also. I think the part number is 958-531-485-00. Please double check that. They are good to have as some may break upon disassembly. Oh, also order a few door panel clips. They are cheap and you'll be glad to have them upon reassembly. I'm trying to put together a DIY for ya.

Slightly different clips for my car, but good idea. Here's the ones for the '11 CTT: Door Interior Trim Panel Retainer | 95555524300

My driver side rear door is doing this now too - I have to stop reading about problems because I always end up with what everyone else has. 😜
Mine locks, chirps, etc but after I unlock it I can only open that door from the inside by pulling on the handle twice. What should I expect to pay my indy to replace? I have the electric privacy shades in the rear doors. Curious on parts and labor costs.
