Off road mode questions

Finally had the chance to take the Cayenne off road.
My understanding is,1st tap of selector engages off road mode(more wheel spin and simulated lockers with simulated low range. 2nd tap locks the center diff.
My questions are, can the center be locked without engaging the off road program? can traction be completely disabled in off road modes? I found the cayenne would limit wheel spin even when the stability button showed disabled.
thanks!

That looks super fun!
Off-road mode 1: programming changes for more favorable off-road handling with throttle, shifting, PTM, ABS and PSM. I'm not sure what you mean by the above, but there is no simulated locker or low range.
Off-road mode 2: center differential lock
Off-road mode 3: rear differential lock if you have PTV+
The center differential is constantly managed whether you are in off-road mode or not. That means it will lock automatically if needed for traction reasons. But you can force the lock with Off-road mode 2 to preemptively lock it if you know certain conditions are coming - the Cayenne can't see the road ahead to know if it's going to be helpful, but it can react to the sensor inputs and adjust from there.
