Default 958.1 Turbo tunes

New to the Cayenne forum and this car.

Is there a consensus on a reliable tuning company to use?

I decided on Softronic for my 2012 CTT. My Indy shop has been working with Softronic for 10+ years and said they can't think of a single issue on a client's car with this co. I had it installed 3 months ago and have put on 5k miles. It completely changed the personality of the CTT. I should have installed this sooner.

Strong endorsement indeed. My independent Porsche mechanic also prefers Softronic.

Wonder if others have had the same experience with Softronic.

FWIW I have a Softronic tune on my 991.2 GTS and am very happy.

Scott is a great communicator, answered all my questions and clearly knows what he is doing.

I am over here contemplating a Cayenne GTS for my wife and wanted to put in a good work for Softronic Best bang for the buck! If we get the GTS I am looking at, it will definitely get a Softronic tune!!!

Does Softronic pass OBD port tests for pollution control states. Many do not.

Considering reasonable and reliable options for modification to optimize performance and HP output:

1. secondary cat delete
2. Softronic tune
3. IPD plenum
4. Diverter valves

Input and feedback would be appreciated.

Anyone have issues with driveline holding up to increased HP/Torque with a tune?

I have FabSpeed secondary cat delete pipes and their tune. I love it. 99HP and has worked flawlessly.

Installed Softronic tune two days ago.

Boost pressure appears to have gone from 10-11 PSI to 15-16 PSI.

Noticeable improvement in power. No change in drivability.

Just what I had in mind.

Thanks Scott!

I have a set of used Soul secondary bypass pipes for sale that I recently pulled off a 958.1 CTT. They are in great shape and really wake up the performance and sound of the CTT.

I’m doing the same. After the parts have been installed I saw the boost go from max 13psi to 16psi. I haven’t even put the tune on yet. I wonder if the previous owner out a tune on it??

Default Parameters

I asked Scott but maybe question was vague. I’ve had 996TT tuned and there was a whole range of options to adjust. Of course 958.1 CTT is completely different. Is the softronic tune a “One Option” tune only? Can any parameters be individually adjusted?

How is the gas mileage changed with the Tunes? Assuming you drive the same.
