Cayenne Diesel High Oil Temps and Oil Cooler Upgrade?
Have a 2014 cayenne diesel with a fresh Mobil 1 oil change. Was blasting up the mountain yesterday(6000ft above sea level) and my oil temps reached 244F Deg at 85F Deg ambient.
This is the highest temp that I've noticed my oil at. Normally it sits at 210ish and 225 when being pushed at sea level.
Being a little **** about my CD as I want this thing to last forever, the oil temps get me a little worried.
1) 245F Oil temps OK? I understand full synth starts breaking down at like 350, but you ideally want to be in the 210 range.
2) Anyone install an aftermarket oil cooler on these?

I have good news for you…. I have NO idea why Porsche did this but the gauge display is NOT correct and the car knows it. What’s worse is the higher the actual oil temp the bigger the spread. So for example mine will show 270F pulling 7% grade at 65mph at 90F ambient but the scan took shows actual oil temps at ~235F. Normal Highway cruising/no trailer it runs ~ 210-220 on the gauge and actual is ~210.
