Default Goodbye Cayenne

It is time to say goodbye to my 2013 CS. I have had it almost 5 years and it has been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and was 99% reliable. I just decided that I needed to find something newer and hopefully gets better MPG as I do a lot of driving in the summer months. So, a fellow PCA member is taking her for his next race car tower. I thought fiscal responsibility and desire for better gas mileage would likely lead me into a smaller, probably Japanese SUV. I looked at a bunch and then just when I was getting ready to pull the trigger, I came across a very low mileage garage queen Macan. So, I don’t have to leave the P Car family, and I will get a couple more MPG’s too. YEAH! I will even get to have both in the garage for a week as the Cayenne is not getting picked up for a couple weeks.

Find a Cayenne diesel I get around 25-27 in town and 34-37+ on the road at 70-75 and even after 100000 it’s stil as good as new mines a 2015

F4 - I have been on the hunt for a Cayenne to replace a Highlander that I somehow ended up with. I have not really dug into the diesel-gate issues, but have seen a LOT on BAT recently. What would be considered the preferred version for the Cayenne Diesel for spec and years? Just curious as to your input.

Any 958.2 would be the better choice, although 958.1's with all the little things addressed will do just as well. All you need is a complete tow package installed and you are off to the races !

Most new cars I look at are not getting the 22+ MPG the cayenne gts does for a comparable v8. It's hard to get rid of...

Get the latest year one you can find with the lowest miles, it'll have the most diesel fix warranty left. They're stout cars, Premium Plus package spec has most of the goodies you'll miss from a Highlander, but some of the nice things Toyota throws in for free like radar cruise control and blind spot are usually not added, so run the VIN through https://vinanalytics.com.

Hijacked!
No offense, but this thread was about my saying goodbye to my Cayenne and getting into a Macan. I was not intending this to turn into a Diesel discussion. 🤪
