Oops~I ran the key fob through the washing machine!
I couldn't believe it when I saw my key fob in the washer after the cycle had finished! It pairs to my 2015 CT.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it still worked (I have Entry and Drive--keyless entry). That was two days ago. Today I opened it up (should have done this right away but I was in shock that it was working) and removed the battery. There was no sign of moisture. It must be nearly water tight. I do have a front load HE washer which doesn't seem to use nearly the water as my old top loader...still the key got a soaking.
Any reason to worry about the key or is there anything further I should do?
As an aside, I pulled out my extra key and it isn't being recognized by the Cayenne. The fob light does go on. Does it need to be paired to the car?
Many thanks...

Pack the key in rice, sealed container, for about 24 hours. Use brown rice, it's harder working than white rice.
