Default Cayenne Coupes delayed until Spring next year?

I was just informed by my dealership in Los Angeles that the coupes are delayed until April of 2020! I placed my order in June and the delivery was supposed to be in September. It got pushed back to early December and now it's April 2020. What the hell is happening?

Not sure about other markets, but here in Europe (Poland) I had similar order date of base Cayenne Coupe (last week of June, with expected delivery date set as mid-October) and yesterday the dealership emailed my that my car is confirmed as finally produced. It will now be transported to Poland and delivered to my in the first week of November.

I just got this unsolicited email from my SA "I just received an update from Porsche that, if I’m reading correctly, is bad news for us. I’m waiting to hear back from my factory rep for clarification. I hate to give any type of bad news but my responsibility to you is to make sure it is complete and accurate." I think I just lost my mind.

My special order coupe has been built, shipped and has been sitting in Rhode Island since August. If they are really going to change the delivery date to April I will seriously consider cancelling my order. The idea of accepting a vehicle that has been sitting unused at the port for eight months seems very unattractive to me and may be unacceptable.

I just called 1-800-porsche and they confirmed the expected delivery date on my vehicle sitting in Rhode Island was moved from 11/8/19 to 4/30/20. I'm disgusted and may pull the ripcord on this entire purchase.,

Is this Coupe only, or any 2020 Cayenne?

Call 1-800-porsche and give them your commission number from your order and they'll tell you

Beefchopper - 6 month additional delay at port?

OP, is your car built and being delayed in Germany? Delayed at US port? Or production date being pushed out. Will help to narrow down potential causes.

Yes, my coupe has already been at the port for two months and they are now saying six more.

Default Update

I ordered a 2020 Turbo Coupe that has been sitting in Rhode Island already for 30+ days. I am going to try to keep it together until I hear some details. I will update when I learn more. Non carb State

True here in Chicago. Delayed till April. Looks like it’s time to switch over to the G Wagon. What a joke.

Just confirmed a delay as well. My Cayenne Coupe order in California which was placed in August with expected delivery date of December 2019, now has a delivery date of May 2020.
