Looking at a 2020 S in Chaulk in the dealer lot in Vegas. I was able to get 7% off my 992 I ordered through them. What kind of discounts have people been able to squeeze out?

^^This. My local dealer has offered a GTS allocation at full MSRP. No additional mark-up but no discount either. Looking for a dealer anywhere in the west who will sell at a discount.

Formerly pulled the trigger today and signed my buyer’s order and placed my deposit. I had the option to take an in-stock $146k 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupe for 12% off MSRP but really wanted to (a) get my ideal build and (b) wanted a 2021 vehicle, so I placed my order today! Very excited.
Ended up sealing the deal on a 2021 Cayenne Turbo Coupe with an MSRP of just over $150k and negotiated a solid 9% discount. Very happy with this deal with a build date of Oct-2020 and we’re expecting the car to arrive at the dealership in NJ in early to mid December, just in time for my 50th birthday!
Here’s my build code:

This is my perfect build (and will be the big brother of my 2015 Macan Turbo) but I am a bit torn about maybe switching the exterior color to Chalk or a complete transformation to Lava Orange with a black or slate grey interior? However I think I would need to spring for the deviated stitching in “orange” with a black interior to make the combination work.
Feedback welcome. Now, time to start looking for a new home for my 2015 Macan Turbo which is White with Garnet Red and Black full leather interior.

Once again, if you love the color, then don't let the crowd or resale pick it.

What about a fairly stock Cayenne order? 2021 with Premium Package, my wife’s favorite wheels, etc. ($87k list). I live in small town America. We’re just big enough to have a dealer, and they don’t like to discount much at all, so I’m curious what penalty I’m paying to keep a good relationship going. Service-wise, they’ve been great, but I moved here with a 2014 Cayenne (that I didn’t buy from them).

I spoke to dozens of Porsche dealers over the past 4 weeks, in many regions across the United States. It seems that East Coast dealers will discount the most. I was able to get a smaller dealer in Arizona to bend to 10% off a 2020 in-stock car. My guess would be in the 4-6% range should be very doable. Lets assume a $90k MSRP car and assuming you accept 5% local vs. 9% at a higher volume dealer and you're looking at a $3,600.00 price delta. You can ship the car from a high-volume dealer, all dealers will work with you on that. The going rate is about $1.00 per mile, so if you're shipping the car 1,000 miles, your savings would drop to $2,600.00. I've also found that cars with higher MSRP's (configured with more options) means more profit for the dealership, so they are typically willing to go an extra 1-2 points on higher sticker price cars.
So, if staying local is important to you, and your Cayenne will be a base config, I would be shooting for 6-7% to pull the trigger at your friendly neighborhood Porsche dealer. Good luck!

2021 Cayenne GTS Coupe factory order, local dealer was willing to give me a custom production slot (delivery likely in December) but no discount to MSRP. Bought a 2014 Cayenne Platinum Edition (base model) from them new. No other local dealers. Next closest dealer is probably 3 hours away. Would be interested to know if anyone gets discount to MSRP on 2021 Cayenne GTS Coupe custom factory orders at this point, with there not being a 2020 model.

I negotiated 5% off my custom build E Hybrid. From what I understand, Base and S are the easiest to get larger discounts on, anything with limited allocations (Turbo, E Hybrid, or GTS) will probably be less generous.

I have ordered a 21 Cayenne GTS and was able to get 5% off MSRP. This is a regular Cayenne not a coupe. The dealer said no discounts for the '21 GTS Coupe.

So far the most surprising thing to hear is that the dealers seem to be reluctant or unwilling to discount GTS coupes. Are buyers really flocking to the coupes more than than the standard body?
From the 2020 Turbo listings, it doesn't seem like coupes are produced a significantly lower numbers than standard body, so I imagine the demand for GTS coupes must be noticeably higher.
