My cayenne GTS coupe has houndstooth and they seem extremely durable. I’m not concerned about staining on them.

I actually think the houndstooth pattern would be good at hiding stains

Curious if anyone with experience can comment on the houndstooth in warm climates as compared to ventilated seats?

I live in south Florida and ventilated seats are a must and such a pleasure.

I loved the race tex GTS seats for my build, but no ventilation made them a hard no for me. If I was considering the light weight package, I would pass as well for the same reason

Houndstooth seats on my beloved and sadly gone 50th anniv 911 were freaking awesome. Durable, comfortable, and looked super cool

I wouldn't say they ran "hotter" or "cooler" than a regular leather seat in my experience, but indeed the trade-off is you lose ventilated seats which I use in my Cayenne way more than I thought I would for LA's climate

Ventilated seats rock! We have a heat wave here on the East coast — 95° and muggy. (Just a normal day in Florida). 🤪 Yesterday my Cayenne sat in the sun a few hours. I hopped in, blasted the ventilated seats, and was instantly bathed in refreshing waves of cooled bliss. It kept me cool and comfortable until the air conditioning could catch up.

My 22 Cayenne GTS Coupe is on a boat right now and I have houndstooths seats. I live in Montreal so ventilated seats would be useful only during 4-6 months of the year.

I'll let you know how I feel about them once I get my car in the next couple weeks.

You can always spray the fabric with fabric protectant furniture spray, just be careful not to overspray on the later, the solvants in the spray could damage the leather.

To get the houndstooth seats, you have to get the CFRP roof. Being a form of plastic, the thermal qualities are one of the best things about it. Plastic does not conduct the heat into the cabin, the way the glass sunroof does, so you stay cool even though you have to forgo the ventilated seats.

I got the thermal insulated glass so it's even better with the carbon roof, the car will probably not get super hot.

We have something similar to Houndstooth in our Audi (Alcantera) and ventilated leather in my Mercedes. On 100 degree days the Ultrasuede seats work better, IMO. Dinamica, Alcantera and Racetex are a form of Ultrasuede as I recall. The material breathes and feels cooler in summer and warmer in winter than leather. That’s just my opinion.
The only thing I’ve found better for cooling were the GMC truck seats years ago that were cooled like AC using a Peltier cooler. They were eliminated years ago because the air from the hot side exited into the rear seat area giving passengers more heat on a hot day. Even those took too long to cool down the seats.

When did you get your 911 GTS allocation?

i asked for a 911 GTS allocation or a GT4 and was told that I wouldn't get either one in less than 12-18 month at minimum.

Went for a Cayenne GTS Coupe instead, figured I could use my Porsche all year instead of 6-7 months per year.

There was no Cayenne GTS Coupe with PDCC and RAS that I could test drive.
