Default Official : Accessport Tuning for Porsche 9Y0 Cayenne

We are excited to announce Accessport and Accesstuner Pro tuning support for the 2019-2022 (9Y0) Porsche Cayenne Base, S, GTS, and Turbo models. The Base model Cayenne is equipped with a 3.0L single-turbocharged V6 power plant and the 2019-2022 Porsche Cayenne S with a Twin-Turbocharged 2.9L V6 while the Turbo and GTS models come with a Twin Turbo 4.0L V8. Our Stage 1 calibrations provide seriously impressive power gains for all trims, All preloaded Off The Shelf (OTS) Maps are covered by a C.A.R.B. Executive order and are 50-State Legal.

The Accessport

The Accessport V3 is the world’s best selling, most flexible ECU tuning solution for Porsche. Unlock power hidden within the vehicle by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations. Upgrade forever with included off-the-shelf (OTS) calibrations and the ability to custom tune for most bolt-on modifications via Accesstuner Pro. It’s the last engine management solution you’ll ever need. Installation takes just 20 minutes from the comfort of your own garage or driveway. Simply connect the included OBDII cable to your Cayenne's OBDII port under the steering column and follow intuitive the on-screen instructions.

  • 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

Cayenne Turbo Power Gains

Our Stage 1 calibrations for the 9Y0 Cayenne GTS are available for either 91 or 93 octane fuel and their increase over stock is truly astonishing. On 93 octane fuel, we are seeing 604 whp tuned compared to 519 whp stock and 684 wtq tuned compared to 530 wtq stock. This means you have an additional 155 lb-ft of torque on tap in the mid range along with an increase of 116 hp pulling you through the powerband.

Stage 1 93
  • Peak: +16.5% HP / Max: +29.1% HP
  • Peak: +28.9% TQ / Max: +29.4% TQ
Stage 1 91
  • Peak: +15.9% HP / Max: +25.7% HP
  • Peak: +25.4% TQ / Max: +26% TQ
For additional information, See Map Notes.

Cayenne GTS Power Gains

The 9Y0 Cayenne GTS is mechanically identical to the Turbo model. Same motor, same turbos, and even the same ECU. The only difference between the two comes down to Porsche's ECU logic as it's strategy does vary slightly from that found in the Turbo. This means that while the GTS does benefit hugely from tuning, it does not *quite make the same power at the tire as that of the turbo post-tuning. The standard Stage 1 calibration file is available for both 91 and 93 octane fuel. On 93 octane, the GTS will make ~570 whp compared to 437 whp stock and 639 wtq tuned compared to 460wtq stock, an increase of 136 HP and 185 TQ over stock. Our "OEM+" file uses calibration data between stock and Stage 1, which provides the same power output as a Turbo model Cayenne and is compatible with either 91 or 93 octane.

Stage 1 93
  • Peak: +30.2% HP / Max: +40.5% HP
  • Peak: +38.8% TQ / Max: +41% TQ
Stage 1 91
  • Peak: +26.8% HP / Max: +35% HP
  • Peak: +33.3% TQ / Max: +35.5% TQ
OEM+ (91 or 93)
  • Peak: +28.1% HP / Max: +30.9% HP
  • Peak: +29.3% TQ / Max: +31.3% TQ
For additional information, See Map Notes.

Cayenne S Power Gains

Porsche's newer 2.9L Twin Turbo V6 powerplant responds very well to tuning! Our Stage1 tuning files produce a power band that is significantly smoother than stock while achieving significant increases to power under the curve. After touching right at 450 lb-ft of torque on 93 octane, we are able to carry impressive gains all of the way to the top of the power band.

Stage 1 93
  • Peak : +10% HP / Max : +28% HP
  • Peak : +15% TQ / Max : +28% TQ
Stage 1 91
  • Peak : +7% HP / Max : + 24% HP
  • Peak : +13% TQ / Max : +24% TQ
For additional information, See Map Notes.

Cayenne Base Power Gains

Included on the Accessport are two different versions of our Stage 1 Off The Shelf (OTS) Map. One is meant for use with 91 octane fuel, and the other with 93 octane fuel. The 93 map uses a higher boost ceiling which allows for better low end torque but the single turbocharger can't efficiently hold that boost all the way through the gear so it drops at higher RPM. The 91 map uses a lower boost ceiling to control knock but this lower boost is more sustainable and the turbo can hold it a little longer. At the top of the gear, both maps are targeting the same boost but some runs can see slightly higher boost on the map that is less aggressive down low.

For additional information, See Map Notes Here

Stage 1 93
  • Peak: +11% HP / Max: +40% HP
  • Peak: +24% TQ / Max: +41% TQ
Stage 1 91
  • Peak: +12% HP / Max: +37% HP
  • Peak: +21% TQ / Max: +38% TQ
For additional information, See Map Notes Here.

Accesstuner Pro Custom Tuning

For those interested in custom tuning, our Accesstuner Pro software also now supports these vehicles. Any of our Authorized Porsche Protuners can create a custom calibration for use with your Accessport. Find a COBB Porsche Protuner HERE.

We don't make any changes to the Auto Start/Stop system as this is directly related to the emissions control of the car. Disabling this would almost guarantee unwanted attention from regulatory bodies.

We're hoping to get support for the GTS/Turbo out soon! We're excited to put the tune out these and they're already fast as hell with the stock calibration so we hope you're ready!

I would estimate it being ready early 2023. We're still working on the calibration aspect and need to complete that, soak it, and clear it through regulations.

Auto Start Stop is for fuel economy rather than emissions. It can be coded off — it is not a tuning feature that is part of the tune.

You going to come out with a tune for those of us that don’t care about that stuff?

Cobb is seeking CARB certification from the same bureaucrats who will ban gasoline-powered generators in 2028. No way would they poke the bear by modifying something designed to save fuel.

Big deal, you say; that would only affect California sales. In fact, that would actually prevent sales in 14 other states plus DC. Three additional states are considering adopting CARB.

Thankfully, Virginia will soon “VEXIT” from CARB. We feel that we should not be ruled by unelected bureaucrats from another state.

Several regulatory bodies do view it as an emissions function since it allows for fewer combustion cycles during a drive cycle. It can still be disabled by pressing the button on appropriate cars but that is not something we'll be disabling by default on any maps.

We will not. We're committed to following all regulatory guidelines here in the US. This ensures that we can continue to operate and release new products without legal troubles.

Looks like owners will have to pay a coder separately. Takes 5 minutes so that should not cost much. Probably can find someone to do it for $50. Any dealer update will wipe that as well as the tune but you can recode and reflash.
