Opinions on Biscay blue for owners or those...
who have seen it a good bit in person. I like the look in pics, but not sure I've seen one in the wild. Does it go more in the blue, silver or gray family? Thanks for any input. My local dealer only has black or white in Cayenne and Dolomite for Macan, so I have a good idea of in person for those colors. Thanks for the input.

I’ve seen it as someone who lives in my neighborhood has a biscay Cayenne. I’d call it blue/gray. It’s not bad. Pairs well with brown or beige interior. Color is such a personal choice. For me I like a given color on one car but not on a different car. For example, I like the Tanzinite blue on the BMW 8 series but not on the X5.

I don't care for it. It caters to buyers whose life experience exceeds mine.
Opinions from owners regarding color of their car will generally be, "Love it!", "It's the best!". How many people will say, "Gee, I hate the color of the car I just dropped a bunch of money on"?
A large part of the reason a person exchanges money for a vehicle is the appearance of the vehicle. Exterior color is a large part of the appearance.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to buy one of these cars without seeing it in person in the color you are considering… pictures never seem to capture the presence of the car in the color. Possibly due to half being in the eye of the beholder or maybe it’s just lighting. Regardless one or more colors will speak to you and that is the color you should get.

Black interior looks like slate grey
Rhodium Silver and Dolomite Silver look similar
Chalk and White are indistinguishable
Base White and Carrera White metallic are indistinguishable
Quartzite and Biscay Blue look similar
In person, my Dolomite Silver car looks either neutral silver, white or bluish silver depending on lighting.
To get a real impression of color, the color needs to be seen in person.

There are a few photos of Biscay Blue Metallic on PCA's rennbow.org. Biscay Blue Metallic (Rennbow) | Porsche Club of America Color Wiki
Mine is the first photo. I like the color. My wife likes it too, which is most important as she puts most of the miles on it.

This is my '19 that I owned a couple months this year.. This was washed and ceramic-polished and is a good representation of its color--blue/gray metallic--in person.. I loved the color and put new tires on it but traded this car in on a new CT equipped the way I wanted it. FWIW, this very car is available at Porsche Chandler (Arizona). Mileage was some 42-thousand miles so it's eligible for Porsche extended warranty.

I’d say it’s much more of a pale blue with silver than a gray. Personally it’s too washed out for me, I like much more saturated blues.

It's subtle. I wanted a colour that hides dirt and patina well (it's an SUV, after all) but is not silver or gray. This fits the bill perfectly - it has just enough colour to not be boring Gray/Silver but still enough of grayness and texture to hide dirt and imperfections. I generally prefer brighter colours, and would have gone with a brighter/more saturated blue if offered, but other blues were too dark, so they would show swirls and dirt much more. My friend's eggplant-coloured Cayenne (don't know the official name of the colour), looks twice as old as mine with less than half the miles, just because it's nearly black, so every swirl and ding becomes a 3D hologram.

I love Biscay Blue and would have ordered it given the chance......not nearly enough blues (or greens) in Porsche's palette.

At the gym, I park every morning next to a Biscay Blue base Cayenne and have seen it in all conditions- it’s a paler blue metallic without much gray or silver IMO. It’s a “pretty” color but not 100% sure it suits the Cayenne’s size / personality-

My Cayenne is Biscay Blue and I like it, as you'd expect given that I own one. It is a very unique color so you won't see many others like it on the road and I'm told it was discontinued after the launch year (2019). I like that also. One other point, if it matters to you, I've had several people comment on the unique color and how they like it.
But as others have said, to each their own. You really need to see one in real life to decide.

I specifically sought out Biscay Blue when hunting for 2019-20 Cayenne S. Love the color because it is not basic white, black, silver that seem to dominate. No offense to those that like those more common hues but I wanted a color and love the subtle blue, sometimes green depending on light.
