2019 Cayenne, Battery Low yellow warning came up !!
2019 base model 27K on it here. Yellow " battery low " light came up. Everything Works fine, no start up problem or low dim light anywhere, the onboard voltage meter shows 13.5V when engine is on. Took it to check up the battery 12V ( under the passenger footwell) at my local mechanic shop, battery is full. Anyone has the same story ??

Besides checking voltage of the battery, did your tech load test it. It can show adequate voltage but still be unable to maintain voltage when a load is applied.

Exact same conditions for my 2019. Dialer updated the firmware on the battery control module and it's been fine ever since.

When I came, my battery was dead, but my NOCO Boost HD GB70 that I always carry did an excellent job at restarting it.
On my dashboard, Iwhen my battery is normal, the voltage is around 13.1 volts, but after the discharge, it was in the 13.6+ range for a while.
I went home and recharge my lithium battery overnight, and all is good.
There are always gremlins happening when the battery is low in voltage/power.
I always fully charge my battery every couple of months. The Porsche cigarette lighter charger works like a charm every time.
I turn on my engine for a couple of seconds, turn it off, hook the cigarrete lighter charger, power it, select the lithium setting, and next monrning is fully charged. I sometimes lock my vehicle, but it charges locked or unlocked.

Thank you for this thread. I had the same issues come up about a week ago and have been reading through all the threads to find a solution. I bought three different Lifepo4 battery chargers and they did not fix the issue. I’m curious, how much did the dealership charge you for the software update?

Just adding to the thread. 2019 Cayenne S, service date of 12/19, just got the battery warning and verified that I have a LiFePO4 battery in the passenger footwell. My dealer had mentioned the last time I was in that they were unable to apply a BMS update due to Porsche Network problems. I guess it's time to go get it, and a LiFePO4-capable charger. Hopefully my battery is ok after just 44 months.

2019 Cayenne S. Had this issue last year, dealer supposedly updated software. Just got the big yellow message again yesterday. Comes up at every startup now. 13.5v with engine running,13.2v when off. Cranks right up no delay or issue... will prob bring back to dealer but these LiFe batteries seem to have their issues.

Updating the software is just a band aid IMO just to get the vehicles past the warranty period.

Dealing with the same thing. Car is still currently at the dealership. They said firmware was updated but the indicator won't go away so they are performing more troubleshooting. Anyone have a similar experience?

Software patches not working.!? If it was a battery problem, there are tests for checking the battery charge resrerve and condition. Is there a need to reprogram the battery correctly to avoid the system incorrectly detecting a problem? Are they programming them correctly?
More reason to keep my 2.9L CS 2019 vehicle away from the dealer"s battery software update.
It's coming to the point that I can't recommend Porsche to anybody anymore..
No availability of Lithium-Ion batteries, battery software problems, battery voltage/start gremlins, lousy dealer excuses, return to the dealers for the same simple battery issues/repairs..
Not looking good Porsche.!!
