My 2024 E Hybrid - (it’s pretty rubbish)

30 cars in stock from orders as specified to deliver to customers after he updates them. If a customer orders now then it is a 6-8 month wait.
I agree that it is surely not a rare car at all but at the current crazy market and people that do not want to wait you can probably sell it with very little loss or no loss at all even with a 4-5k miles. I might be wrong of course.

Not really, customer order doesn't show on my dealer's website ( I ordered my last one and it never was put on the website). Regardless, I would say you will lose at least 15% of the car if you were to sell it after a few months. Dealers don't buy from you and sell with $2k more. They usually price it 10-15% higher and right now brokers offer 4% discount on 2024 Cayenne orders/stock so that the used retail price by the dealer should be lower than that.
Again though we could both be right - sell it after 6 months as a demo and loose almost nothing or sell it and loose 15%.

To provide an update….
there’s no fix looming, so the dealer has agreed to unwind the deal.
I just lost confidence in it, it was nice to use their E Hybrid loaner, which also had its niggles.
I’ve found a nice Taycan CT Turbo, June 2023 car with 900 miles, it had an original list of £152k now available for £112k.

Interesting. Aside from the brakes, which the car is currently in for, our 2023 Hybrid has none of these issues. Even with 40 HP less than the 2024, there is plenty of power for driving even in demonic Texas traffic.

To provide an update.
As mentioned, the dealer bought the car back and unwound the deal.
They did call to say it’s all fixed & working now.
It’s currently for sale and will no doubt sell straight away for those looking to jump the que.

But decided to stay with Porsche and bought a Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo. June 2023 demo model with 1300 miles and £40k off list which landed about what the Taycan was.
On paper the Cayenne suits me better. But sadly. I just didn’t gel with it, so jumped whilst I had the chance.

I have driven mine - 24 e-hybrid - quite a lot last week. So far so good and I have not noticed any major bugs but I have not played much with acc and the lane assist and lane keep features.
But I have it to say that the air suspension, the sound insulating glass and the 18 way seats are extremely good and make a huge difference and the car drives much more comfortably compared to our previous 2020 model.
To be honest I have not actually charged it yet since we are away and I have driven it mainly in sports plus which defeats the purpose of getting a hybrid but at the end of th day this is my wife’s car so when we are back I will concentrate on learning all about the hybrid part of it and she will of course be driving it in e-power and hybrid mode.
