Default Painting Black Plastic on TGT

For the life of me, I can't understand why Porsche doesn't have an option for the black plastic fenders and bumpers on the TGT to be paint matched from the factory. Has anyone painted these on a TGT? Seems to be pretty straight forward but can't seem to find a thread on it or any pictures of guys with this mod.

Had mine painted by my Porsche centre's body shop, easy enough to do, all the black plastic is straightforward to remove. Looks a lot better now.

Now I am a little torn, it feels like on the non-black models, it takes away from some of the aggressiveness of the TGT. And this is coming from a guy that LOVES to paint match fenders and bumpers normally.

I think it looks cheap if you don't have it painted. No reason for this.

Agreed - something looks "off" on having it paint matched. I typically also love fender trim paint matched but on the TGT the black cladding actually works imo.

Looks great, I am considering doing the same when my CGT lands. Q - what is the texture of the painted plastic, does it look a lot different than body? Other option is checking to see if Turbo Wheel arches fix and paint/prime at body shop.

The black plastic is all smooth from the factory so no sanding or prep needed before painting unless you have any damage. No difference in finish to the main bodywork when done.

I was talking about putting a plastic ppf x pel.. for a shine effect.. what do you think?

If the trim is that smooth, not the rough trim, you probably could have it wrapped in gloss black. Would probably be a nice look. Find a good wrap shop near you and have them do one wheel well and see what you think. Not expensive and completely reversible!

The gloss makes a big difference. On my '23, I didn't go for gloss black brakes, as the standard brakes are already black. But the dull black looks...not as nice.
