Default Upgrade to a GT from a TT?

Hello everyone. I have owned and adored my 2020 Cayenne turbo. She has 45000 miles on her and has been a dream to drive. Countless spirited drives, road trips with family, etc.

The opportunity has come my way to upgrade to a GT. The spec is fabulous and basically how I would do it if I could build. Its an exclusive edition, whatever the hell that means? Anyone enlighten me there?

I've never driven one of these cars, only watched videos about it and read the reviews. Many will say this is a tall GT3. Has anyone upgraded from a Cayenne Turbo or Turbo s to a Turbo GT?

I have driven the 992 GT3 extensively and know that car very well. How would you liken the GT to the GT3? How is it different from a Turbo?

Resale on this car probably like any other Cayenne I would assume?

I have a 4.5L GT4 + shorter gears and also now a 2024 TGT. The torque delivery of the TGT feels just like the GT4 despite weighing more. The TGT feels just as composed and responsive as the GT4 driving on public roads, on ramps, backroads. If I didn’t love manual so much and had a choice of just one car, I’d choose the TGT for the utility and space while feeling as much as a GT car on the street

I have a 2021 Turbo and would probably upgrade to the TGT next time around....if I had the opportunity to do it for a good price now I would definitely consider it. The TGT is faster (but not so much around town or normally that you'd really notice if you were blindfolded) but the overall look and cachet of the car would be hard to pass up for me. But I would INSIST on the Burmeister.

You are not alone in considering this option.
I have a ‘23 turbo coupe and am considering a TGT.
Wish I could drive a TGT before purchase, but none are for sale locally.
The turbo is a fantastic vehicle, but I can’t help but wonder if the TGT is that much of a better handling (and faster) SUV that would make a perceptible difference worth the price differential.
please keep us posted.

Ive had a 19' Cayenne TT, 23' TGT, and 992 GT3 so can share a bit:
- TGT will be a step above on everything the TT does well (more torque, the handling is leaps ahead and the front axle is fantastic for an SUV).
- In comparison to the GT3 there are similarities in the front end turn in with balance, with hints of track focus. Aside of that, not a lot to compare of course between the two
- The V8 and exhaust, enough said...

I love my turbo GT, unfortunately I drive it as a commuter without utilizing its power 90% of the time. I am more excited using comfort mode, and the adaptive cruise functions and receiving 24 mpg on a 40 mile commute.

Nevertheless, the car is like a Swiss army knife and can do everything.

no regrets

Are we just skipping over the fact that his dealer is trying to sell him an "exclusive edition". Maybe I live under a rock but I've never heard of a TGT being an exclusive edition...

The TGT is truly an amazing vehicle and drives like a sports car. I don't think you can go wrong getting one!

I purchased a TGT. I couldn’t be happier with it. Mine is a 22 model. The vehicle is a Swiss Army knife. Does everything rather well. If you are looking for mpg don’t. It’s horrific. My V10 R8 is better. I love how the TGT blends in to the environment, a sleeper if you will, but those that know just know. Braking is very nice and the carbon ceramics are not grabby at all. Comfort mode with noise insulated glass, one just wafts on the wave of torque and quietness. Turn the dial to the right twice and a whole new character appears. Angry snarly exhaust, pressure spooling up the turbos and a pleasing induction and drivetrain roar that builds and builds like a roaring locamotive. It’s very easy to get into 3 figures without noticing. In comparison to my R8 where you have to scream through the revs. Completely different experience. I’d ask the dealer what they mean about exclusive. Unless of course they mean PTS? I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. Recommend you test drive and make your decision. It’s a wonderful vehicle.

Cheers

As I have mentioned in other discussions the TGT is probably the best driver’s SUV ever made and will become a future classic - if there is a future classic SUV category to be honest

If you can get a decent price on your TT, and not get neck chopped on a TGT, I would go. As mentioned above, it's a TT on steroids. Honestly, the TT can sometimes be a scary ride given its torque and power. I can't imagine the the TGT. I haven't even seen one driving around in DFW area. I have only seen three TT in my four years of driving mine, so they are rare as well.

Had a regular TT followed by a TGT. Night and day. TGT is a lot lot faster, they found a lot more than 90 extra horses but they can't say so with the VAG (Lambo) brand police around. Front end grip on the TGT is incredible

I went from a TT to a TGT. The TT is like a luxury SUV (but very fast) and the TGT is like a sports car (but luxurious). Best car ever...

Has anyone done a track alignment on the TGT? Looking for any info.
