Swapping existing center console storage lid
Can anyone possibly point me to installation instructions on how to swap my existing compartment lid with a new one? I missed speccing the porsche logo on the lid and the part is actually available for less than it would be ordering from the factory.

The linked post is good to show how to remove the lid + substrate. The OP asked about swapping the cover with embossed crest, which the linked post does not directly address.
The embossed cover needs to be pried off the substrate using trim tools. Likely plastic clip breakage potential. However if you have a new cover with embossed crest, breakage would not matter, as long as nothing on the substrate broke. Vague I realize but I don't think anyone has done this yet.

As far as I know it is just the lid that’s coming as I paid $300, I’m assuming the entire compartment top would run much more than that. That being said I’m a bit worried to break the clips of the base and then not being able to attach the new lid to the base. Another concern is that for some reason they have different clip patterns.

I just bought the items below yesterday. i probably could find some knockoffs for much less, but i have found i've never purchase a tool i don't re use later multiple times so years ago i started buying nicer tools. do you by chance know if you can get the front headrests after the fact? i semi-wish i had the logo headrests! keep us posted on the armrest swap.
what happened to me is I dug in to my 2024 base coupe to do the fitcamx dash cam, none of the parts came of the way fitcamx described. changes were made for 2024. the wiring harness i need to unclip to connect the cam - it is not possible to unclip it without some kind of pick tool because it is right up against the windshield. space is extremely tight and the angle is awkward. i broke down and bought these little tools to get back in there and give it another try. I need to run a wire to the rear for the rear cam once i crack the code and get the front one going.

I’m actually waiting to see if I can get it replaced with the updated one or if I will be returning it. The silver trim clashes with the matte black trim in the rest of the interior

PS. MY2024 and older models have different PNs of the armrests. I am not sure if this part fits 2024 models.
