Pikes Peak Toll Road. Worth driving?

Planning a drive from Denver to Santa Fe and noticed I’m very close to the Pikes Peak Road. Is it worth doing or is it a great road full of very slow moving traffic?

Last I heard they were working on the road and not totally usable to the public. Check it out before you get to far into it, but probably a fun drive.
