Since the 'miracle chemical' in Langka or Dr Colorchip is working on the paint blob and not the original paint, I'd guess that it is safe to assume that the original paint type plays no part in the success of the blob repair. Only the touch up paint is important. With Dr Colorchip you purchase not only the 'miracle chemical' but also an exact match touch up paint. Go here and see for yourself. I purchased the '06 Porsche Guards Red and the '07 MB Black but I haven't had reason to use the Guards Red yet.
