Hello Rennlist,

Just got my first Porsche, a 981 Spyder. Looking to see where I can find any event information in the tri-state area. Meets, cars and coffee, track days, etc.

Regarding track days you can join PCA and they'll allocate you to Metro NY Chapter. Metro runs events at a variety of places including Lime Rock, Watkins Glen and NJMP. As a PCA member you can also do events with any of the other chapters. Audi Club runs events at Watkins, Lime Rock, Palmer, NJMP as do a variety of other for-profit clubs (PCA, AudiClub, BMWCCA are all not for profit). You will however need to check the Spyder is eligible. It does have roll-over protection but generally speaking the rule will be that you need 2" of room between the top of a helmet and a broomstick placed between the top of the windshield surround and the top of the hoops. You may also need arm tethers. The best local place for helmet and other DE stuff is Stable Energies out in Passaic, NJ. As far as cars n coffee...check social media. There is a big one out in NJ off Rt 9 every week and out in Westchester as well.
