Had the CGT in for an oil change and battery replacement this week...Porsche of Nashville were fantastic to deal with !

I have attached a pic below of a CGT engine bay...on the bottom left you will note an air intake duct with an aluminum ring on it...obviously a matching one on the right too. These are held onto the piping end by an epoxy glue...on mine, the left was nearly completely off and the right was also loose.

These things flying around loose in the engine bay might be "problematic". Give them a tug and make sure they are on tight.

Greetings to All~

I've had a chance to put 50 miles on my CGT over the weekend. The car is everything I expected - driving it is essentially the automotive equivalent of sex with a supermodel!!!! :D

Alas, the clutch is proving to be the challenge that I anticipated. I'm comfortable letting it out on flat surfaces and allowing the computer to give the car gas.

What's the trick on uphill grades???? I was at a red light today and Suzie Starbucks almost rear ended me with her Escalade when I stalled the CGT twice. By this point I'm sweating like a pig trying to keep from stalling it again.

I took the car to an isolated uphill grade in my neighborhood and practiced a few times without somebody on my rear bumper and I STILL sucked.

Any words of wisdom from you guys??? Thanks to all!

Rob

Greetings to All,

After a long strange journey that took me from a 993tt to a Ruf RTurbo 500 to a Stradale to a GT2 (with many others along the way!!!), I finally sacked up and bought a CGT. #306, silver/ascot, 2.9K miles, cherry condition, etc.

The car has a partial clearbra (1/2 hood, front bumper & mirrors), but I am worried about rock damage to the doors & fenders.

Is the consensus to clear bra the doors and rear fenders or to use the mesh grills that are available for the openings behind the front wheels? Both???

Any guidance would be most appreciated. Best regards to all!

Quick question re aftermarket grills behind front tires

Greetings to all~

I remember reading in Excellence several years ago about a guy who was selling mesh grills cut to fit in the opening just behind the front tires. THe mesh was cut to resemble the mesh screens over the engine.

The objective of course is to reduce the amount of debris that the front tires throw back along the leading edge of the rear fenders.

Are any of you owners using these???? Pros & cons???

If they work and are well advised, where can I get a pair?

Best regards to all.
