C4 shopping saga continues

My C4 shopping saga continues, hopefully more happily. Here's what I've got a deposit down on and a PPI scheduled for:

Not a lot of factory options but I like that FabSpeed exhaust. Price is right. :rockon: And it's got a great service history. How scary is the branded title for the odometer fix; seems like not a big deal because fully documented, yes?

I need an honest opinion

I didn�t think the day would come, but I must sell my 1997 993C2. My 993 has 98,000 miles on it and carries a salvaged title! This seems to be the biggest obstacle. I listed it at $23500.00 thinking it is low market value and that I would be willing to negotiate due to the title issue. Very few have inquired about it and those that have seem to be looking for a low mileage garage queen. Although the car is beautiful and I have no complaints, it doesn�t fit that profile. I have an offer of $16000.00. Is that a fair price in today�s market?

I am trying to get an educated idea of its worth. Any opinions? I�m not desperate to sell it yet, but if this is true market value then maybe I need to settle in to the fact that I will take a LOSS on this and move on.

Lock Troubleshooting

Ok, I'm now thoroughly annoyed that my locks don't work correctly. If I lock my car with the fob, it clunks, then beeps. Obviously, this means one of the switches isn't working right, since all of the doors are closed.

I took it to the dealer and they plugged it in to the computer, but the computer on the car won't tell them which switch is bad. Besides replacing all of them to figure out which switch is bad, is there a logical way to determine it?

I can't crawl into the trunk and close it to see if the light stays on...I'm too big :)

We took a 1996 993 TT in trade the other day it had 15k miles on it and it was stunning. It lasted all of about 8 hours here so I didn�t even get a chance to drive it.

The good news was the car traded on that TT was a 1996 993 coupe with less than 15k miles on it. It�s like a time capsule. I get jaded driving brand new 997�s all the time and then driving my own 2 older cars and I had forgotten how fantastic a 993 really is. I sat in the car and fired it up and it even smelled new, then I took it on a nice long drive and all the good things l like about the 993 came back.
Just my 2 cents for the day. I may have to take the white car home for the weekend!

a couple HID questions

hi, i've searched and found this guide to installing the HID's i can easilly cope with the wiring etc. my questions are regarding the HID's are:

1. what bulb does this plug and play kit need to be? i thought the bulb in the projector was an H7?

2. will this tutorial:

work generally for all HID kits?

im looking at buying locally from this company:

they are a sponsor of a local forum im on and their kits are highly regarded for the price, im leaning towards 4300k?

Has anyone ever seen silver or grey seatbelts in a 993 / 911 ?

I seem to recall seeing these - and I believe they fell under the Porsche customization programme.

I know currently the following are available :
- black
- red
- yellow
- riviera blue

But, were grey / silver belts ever avail ?
anyone know where to get them ?
