Hello,

In the early to mid 80's my uncle designed a body kit for the 914 called the Premier Porsche 914. I would like to know if anyone here owns one or has owned one and might have some pics to share with us.

My uncle is older and doesn't do computers and all his pics are all prints. His show car has been on blocks and under cover for some years now and I am considering buying it and bring it back to life. It has a Chev 350 conversion in it and it was all done very well back in the day.

So anyone who might have some pics to post please do! It would be very appreciated.

Cheers,
Rob

So, after a year of looking at my 914 engine laying around in parts, I decided to get back on that project.

I got the pistons in the cylinders, the rods on the crank, drop the crank into one case half, put in the cam, go to put in the windage tray... and the windage tray gaskets are not in the gasket kit!! The gasket kit must be for a VW type 4 and not a 914.

I think only the 914 has the windage tray to prevent oil from sloshing around while cornering...

So, I didn't make much progress today. Hopefully I can get the gaskets by next weekend so I can continue.

As I accuired 5 914's, parts, etc. from a collection, i am trying to learn more about the cars. According to the VINs all 5 are 4 cylinder cars, although one title states 6cyl. on it. On of the rollers has 5 bolt wheels(944 cookie cutters) and fiberglass flares. Is there a way to tell if this was a 911 upgrade? I would like to find out more about all of the 914 parts that are desirable to make a group 8 SVRA 914/6 racer...

Hey there everyone,

For all of the early 901 911's out there that might want to have a bit more control over your 2nd gear, we now offer 904 mainshafts.

We have these in two varieties, the first is a converted 901 shaft to 904, which is idea for stock HP. Cost on this would be $950.00

We also have brand new 300M steel shafts for sale for $1,150.00 plus shipping.

Either way you go these are very nice shafts and allow you to change out the 2nd gear ratio, to a ratio that might be more to your liking.

I just wanted everyone to know.

Warmest Regards,
