Geez... my car is selling for really cheap now!

I cross posted this on bimmerboard for you if that helps. Lots of guys there and some are always looking to upgrade to an 01.

I sure do love mine, great car.

Good luck with it.

Yeah, nothing like selling a sub $9k car. I'm sure you had your oddball prospects. Glad to hear it's sold!

random people calling at night..... hey will you take seven, cuz thats all i got.... no.... are you sure?...
I did not want to sell it to these people. 19 YO kid financed from local bank. A 19 YO with a 740? I know this car will get totaled shortly.
College student financing a old 740, that's just wrong. I even advised his grandpa this was a bad idea. In the end what can you do right, it's his money after all.
I did my best to educate him and gave him the bentley book. X wife told me once that I had gone through 27 cars back in 2008. I felt bad about this one. I even felt bad for the loan guy at the bank lol.
won't be my last bmw for sure. I just wish they looked as good now as they did back then.

Cool story. At least you tried to sell it to a real enthusiast!

Give it a week, you'll see it rolling down the street with limo tints on 22's with hip-hop blaring out the windows.

Sometimes selling cars like an older 740i can get ugly. Even if well maintained, things break and the tech gremlins crop up.

I guess we can count on a certain level of buyer/seller respect among Rennlisters. Once you go outside our community, you get too many yoyos.
