Default FS: 1987 944 turbo 125k miles, 67k on motor, new paint, new carpet, $20k+ in reciepts

I bought this 944 turbo with 124k miles on the engine and chassis as a project car. I replaced the engine with a used one with 67k miles on it. This replacement engine was extensively gone over and inspected. During this process every component on the car was inspected and the following was replaced:

Used 88 944 turbo engine w/ 67k miles
New cylinder head gasket (wide fire)
New Rod bearing set
New water pump
New thermostat
New Front engine reseal kit
New pilot bearing
Used shifter and shift rod replaced
New radiator
New Radiator fan switch
New RPM sensor
New Sachs clutch kit complete
New clutch fork shaft
New Fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel
New timing belt kit
New balance shaft belt
New tension rollers
New idle rollers
New serpentine belt
New upper radiator hose
New lower radiator hose
New coolant hoses
New radiator fan bolts
New antifreeze
New ignition rotor
New oil pan gasket
New motor mounts
New fuel filter
New air filter
New oil filter
New Bosch spark plugs
New front wheel bearings (inner, outer and seals)
CV joint boot kit
New front rotors
New rear rotors
New front and rear brake pads
New brake shoes for emergency brake
Replaced oil cooler w/ used one
Replaced steering pump w/ used one
New power steering fluid
Brake fluid flushed and filled with fresh fluid
New receiver dryer
PA emissions and state inspection complete

COSMETIC:
New hatch rubber gaskets L & R
New windshield (original was cracked)
New 968 style mirrors
New Porsche hood badge
Had front bumper refurbished, removed and filled holes for headlight wash nozzles (clean look)
New rear hatch seal
Used rear bumper pads
New tow eye
New front Pioneer speakers
New driving/fog lights
Used batwing (spoiler under front bumper)
New genuine suede shift boot
New rear decklid shocks
New hood shocks
New turbo emblem (not installed)
New PORSCHE emblem (not installed)
New cassette box insert with hinge frame
New black carpet kit w/ rear seat delete
New sound deadening
New paint job

The bad: Sunroof does not work. Headliner is torn and should be replaced.

I removed all of the old carpeting and old sound deadening and replaced it with lighter better quality and more capable material. I replaced the carpet with an RS style kit with a rear seat delete. The car has a new paint job that was done properly under my close supervision to assure proper prep work. The car was painted factory alpine white and looks great. Exterior and interior are in excellent condition and nothing needs immediate attention.

These cars are not cheap to have serviced and I have invested over $20,000 in parts and labor. I have a copy of all receipts and invoices.

I don't want to sell but I need the money for an upcoming move. If you are looking for a 944 turbo that has been extensively gone over and no expenses spared for a fraction of what was invested, then this is it. This ad is also on eBay.

$15000.00 obo

Where did you get the rear carpet for the seat delete? I have new carpet from 928 leather shop but he did not have that part. Very nice car and GLWS!

I got it from appbiz.com --- you must call them for 944 information

They do sell the rear seat delete kit by itself in a couple different colors and materials for a decent price.
