That's great and the color matches perfect with Spidey's costume. Gorgeous!

red interior on blue car is questionable in my opinion.
It won't sell above sticker. Sorry, but it won't.
Good luck though.

kyrocks: Thanks for your input. You will be surprised to learn how many people actually like this color combination, even some that had expressed to me doubts before my car arrived and they finally saw it in person! Taste is such a personal matter and I would not be so presumptuous as to think that this combination will appeal to all. Same applies to my 'Signal Green' 997.1. Yet I thought that was one of the most striking color I have ever seen on a 911! Again, different strokes for different folks!

Saludos,
Eduardo

I'm just expressing my thoughts. Hey, they could be totally wrong. I really do wish you the best. Whoever picks it up will love it, I'm sure. I apologize for coming across negatively.

Thanks Brad. Although it could free me up to get that Pastell Orange 991 from you. But kidding aside, let's see what happens. Wife is concerned we are not using our cars (plural) enough to justify keeping so many of them. So I am just playing along. Since you are married, you will understand the subtle game going on.

Eduardo

Eduardo, You should advertise it in the Park Cities area of Dallas. The color combo will be irresistible to SMU coeds looking to spend Daddy's money!

Thanks Greg. The truth is that this car mostly appeals to men, not women! The reason is that the top is a two piece 'Bimini' single layer canvas job that has to be put on (and removed) by hand. There is no button to push or lever to pull to do it automatically! Most women will not put up with the inconvenience of it, period. And neither will apparently most of today's 'girlie' men! Apparently there is not enough 'Hans and Franz' types still out there that don't mind using their muscles to put a lightweight top that saves 50 pounds, or more, in metal frame, sound padding/insulation, mechanical hardware, pumps and motors to do the same job as the Spyder's simple but brilliant 'Bimini' top!

As a matter of fact, that is the reason why there is little chance you will ever see Porsche create another true, lightweight Boxster Spyder! It doesn't appeal in today's crowd that demands instant gratification on everything, especially in the convenience of an automated 'push button' convertible top! The entire Spyder's manual canvas top, including its Carbon Fibre front piece, weighs only 13 pounds! That, friends, is part of the competitive advantage of the Spyder! It is the lightest chassis Porsche has ever produced in a production model in modern times...and is one of the reasons why the Spyder has become one of the most exciting performers in their history!

Saludos,
Eduardo

I think its stunning in every way. Showed my wife, she says the same.
I come back to see this thread just because its one of those cars that flicks all the right emotions and brain cells.

I could see this as a true classic some day.

Thanks Amar! You are now spending all your time on Rennlist. Good for you! Are you coming down to our Spyder party in Carmel during American LeMans week at Laguna Seca? Fly down if you can.

No need to thank me. Just stating the truth from the bottom of my heart. I would love fly down there. Let's plan something fun. Rennlist is my religion outside of my medical practice. I am somewhat of a newbie when it comes to Porsche but am learning fast. In fact my threads on the 911 icons and more recently on my Cayenne (w00tMOBILE) options were well received. I enjoy interacting with fellow enthusiasts and in fact have a couple of very dear friends thanks to RL. Who knows some day I may interact with
the 987 group.
