Three months ago I purchased from a private party here on rennlist a new clutch. It is a (Spec 99-01 Porsche 996 3.4L Stage 1 Clutch Kit SP641. I took it to an indy shop here in the SFV to have it installed. After they installed it, I picked up the car and the shattering was terrible. According to the manufacturer, it would take about 500 before it would stop shattering. Included in the instructions was a disclaimer that the flywheel is to be resurfaced or replaced. The indy ignored these instructions, and installed it without replacing or resurfacing the flywheel. I could no longer take the shattering and decided to replace it with a Sacks Stage One and a new LuK dual mass flywheel. This clutch and flywheel have less than 800 miles from new If anyone is interested, I will sell the clutch and flywheel for $200.00 local pickup only in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles county. The flywheel was installed 40K miles ago.
