Default Driving cross country, no 93, what do you do?

Last time I drove cross country was in an Audi A4
There's a stretch from Texas through Arizona where few gas stations have anything above 87
Messed up my system big time (even after many tankfulls of 93)
Even using octane booster didn't help.
Is the only solution to gas up every half tank and search for a place stocking 93?
Doesn't seem efficient
