Default Best way to remove adhesive from paint

I was putting on a front grille guard on my 2008 C4S cabriolet yesterday and got some adhesive one the paint.

I tried Goo Gone and some bug removal spray but not good.

I’m thinking of heat and a plastic scraper. Does anyone have any “hacks” for this? I would appreciate it.

I have used WD40 with pretty good success. Goo Gone will take paint off, so be careful !!

I first reach for 3M Adhesive Remover. Generally safe on paint and plastic, and effective on most adhesive residue.

Isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and even gasoline (usually in that order) are great for small spot cleaning of the exterior without damaging the clear coat or paint. Just make sure to wash the area when you're done.

Not sure what type of adhesive you need to remove but a product like a Gyeon Tar could work for you. Probably most detailing product lines have a Tar remover.
